Hotels

A hotel runs on five pieces of software that do not talk to each other. Our work starts there: make them talk, then read what they say.

What we understand about the trade

  1. The PMS, the restaurant till, the spa, the online booking engine and the accounts each hold a piece of the truth. None holds all of it.

  2. Hotel data is seasonal and event driven. An annual average teaches nothing; the trend by week and by segment does.

  3. Housekeeping and maintenance are tracked on paper or not at all, and they are the two costs that set the rate.

  4. A bad review costs more the longer it goes unanswered.

Typical problems

  • Answering a simple question about last month means opening four interfaces.
  • The PMS is old and its vendor offers no access to the data, or charges more for it than for the PMS itself.
  • Nobody knows which room was cleaned, by whom, or at what time.
  • Reviews arrive on several platforms, and response time is measured nowhere.

What we offer

  • Connecting the systems already in place, and pulling their data into one spot.
  • Integration with existing PMS, including those with no documented API.
  • A trends dashboard: occupancy, segments, spend per guest, seasonality.
  • Housekeeping and maintenance tracking, room by room, with the time and the person.
  • Team time tracking.
  • Review collection, an NFC badge, and response time tracking.
Our experience

Arnaud has worked with hotels on the restaurant side, then on connecting their systems to each other and centralising their data.

Reading trends and collecting guest reviews has been part of that work from the start.

PMS and systems inherited from the market: we know what to expect when we open them up.
